That is REALLY odd. It's actually in pretty poor taste. Real surprising from DC, back then anyway.

They were trying SO hard to scream back at Marvel -
"Hey - WE'RE "hip," "now," and "happening," TOO!!!"
- that they did some embarrassingly dumb things like this.
