"...Can he save the west? Or ruin it!" doesn't make a lot of sense to me, grammatically. But what do I know? I went to art school.
In any case, a nice ad.

I would actually argue this is a horrible ad, Rob, because it totally misses the mark of what kind of character/series BAT LASH is/was. I never picked BAT LASH up because it looks too much like a WILD WILD WEST adventure, when it fact it was akin to MAVERICK. It was years before I realized that BAT LASH by Nick Cardy was the same thing as this kind of creepy thing. Plus, I, too, never got the "save it or ruin it" tag line. I like the character, but don't like this ad.

Yeah, this ad seems to have been thrown out there before DC even knew what Bat Lash was. Or maybe Aragones drew it. He did "write" Bat Lash, correct?

i was thinking more from a visual stand point, in that its a compelling ad.
but yeah, it doesn't really convey what Bat Lash was very well.
