At the risk of sounding like an old fart, that ad mainly reminds me of an era of weak characters, printed horribly...
I freakin' love the Blue Devil. He was one of my favorite characters growing up, and a paper I wrote on him in grade school got positive attention from my teacher and librarian. It isn't his fault no one's written or drawn him correctly since 1987...
I love the Blue Devil as well. I'm proud to own the entire series, and only wish it had not been cancelled before we got to see the more serious stories Mishkin and Cohn were doing with Denys Cowan. And, Blue Devil nearly got a Super Powers figure too! It's a real shame what DC have done to him in recent years. If only comics from DC were still fun like this now.
