I remember seeing ads for this comic in some of my old SA backissues, but I sure don't recall EVER hearing of this tv series. Weird.

yeah, that's a new one on me. there's a 1949 cheapie movie called Bomba the Jungle Boy, but i can't find any record of a TV series....???
Guys-
DC doesn't actually say "TV SERIES..."
It's based on the old series of B Movies (there were several) that ran on the tube then.
Johnny Sheffield (formerly Tarzan Weismuller's "Boy") starred, and the flicks were based on a series of books.
