Man, I loved that cover. So much history there. Of Superman, of the JSA...more homages than you can shake a stick at, but still fresh and new. Ordway is one of my favorites.

Love Ordway. WANTED to love the series.
But Roy Thomas' over-writing had gotten tiresome to me at that point. At its worst, it's like bad radio writing; everyone over-speaks, and everthing is over-described.
Geez, let the pitchers carry some of the load!!!
