Loved that book, and that character, as a kid.
Yes, National may have sorta-swiped (and not even to specifications!) Siegel & Shuster's
idea...
But to this smalltown Midwesterner, there was something verr warm & powerful about the ORIGINAL "Smallville" & its people - especially, a learning-to-be-superguy.
