April 04, 2007 Progress is being made on "Metal Men," which WB has set up with "X-Men" producer Lauren Shuler Donner. The producer first talked about the project a year ago, saying she wanted to develop the DC Comics title as a CG-heavy, light-hearted pic in the vein of "Men in Black." Eric Champnella, whose credits include writing and directing "The Old Man and the Studio" and story and script contributions on the Bernie Mac comedy "Mr. 3000."

I have always thought that Cartoon Network should do a Metal Men animated series. If any comic book screams to be animated it is the Metal Men.
