Can you believe that right at this point, DC ALMOST cancelled Detective Comics? It was to be axed in wake of the DC Implosion, but someone thought to merge it with the still running Batman Family comic, and DC's namesake was saved.
I'm a sucker for circular vignettes. Must be the Mego influence.

Geez, Chris, that's as bad as the MGM execs who almost cut "Over the Rainbow" after the OZ preview!
Fun mags; ugly, busy ad! (I assume Snappin's sharp eye & hand was gone, at this point?)
