I was so glad when DC brought back their annuals; I always thought the concept was a neat one--usually DC or Marvel would cram them to the staples with fun stuff that you didn't see in the regular books.
This ad is kinda dull for what should be a Giant Announcement, but at least they brought the Annuals back...

I loved annuals as a kid too. They were feature length epics by top talent, and you'd get important short stories by the same. Bio pages, pin-ups, the works! Then came the "annual events," in which a thin story was padded for 48+ pages X 15 annuals, all produced as try-out material for new "talent" at the reader's expense...
