While I'll cop to the fact that I really didn't appreciate his artwork at the time, the much older, much wiser Vinnie must ask, "Curt Swan wasn't one of the greatest talents in comics?"

Yes, there was some good work to come out of The Big Reboot - mainly, to my mind, Jerry Ordway's (art AND script.)
But if there's one thing that one of the acknowledged classics of comics history, WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE MAN OF TOMORROW? proves, it's that something was "fixed" that wasn't really broken.
The shakeup was mostly about Mr. Byrne's ego.
